Vincent J. Laino:A registered architect with over 20 years experience as a project leader for many luxury retail projects, including Jil Sander and Nicole Farhi, Vincent has a unique understanding of both the creative and the technical aspects of design. Vincent’s appreciation for this balance of creativity and realism continues to drive GL’s commitment to creative, inspired designs balanced with a keen appreciation for the realities of construction and budget.<br/><br/>Vincent has completed more than 40 residential projects as well as numerous commercial, and educational projects. Prior to founding GL, Vincent worked as senior designer and project manager at several prominent New York firms including Gabellini Sheppard Associates and Takashimaya. At Gabellini Sheppard, he directed the design and completion of international fashion boutiques for Jil Sander, Nicole Farhi, as well as luxury residences in New York and abroad.<br/> Emily Reiter:Emily joined GL Studio full-time in 2010 to help lead the concept development and interior design of the Dr. Martens flagship store in Soho, NYC. <br/><br/>Following completion of design and construction administration work on Dr Martens, Emily was lead Interior Designer for the Mackage Flagship store, also in Soho.  <br/><br/>Other work with Green Light Architecture, has included design development for numerous residential projects, a furniture showroom in Shanghai, and the IDC exhibition and office spaces, also in Shanghai.<br/><br/>Before studying Interior Design at Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, Emily was a professional modern dancer with dance companies in New York and New Mexico. Michael J. Gargano, AIA:An architect for more than 20 years, Michael excels at coordinating design programs involving complex technical requirements such as cleanrooms, raised floors for data centers, and semiconductor facilities.<br/><br/>Prior to founding GL Studio, Michael served as lead architect with a large engineering firm for the design and construction of semiconductor facilities in New York, New Mexico, and Virginia. He also worked for nine years as senior project manager for UBS investment bank, where he directed the design and construction of executive offices and conference centers throughout the United States and internationally.<br/><br/>A licensed architect in eleven states, Michael is a member of the American Institute of Architects and trained in LEED sustainable design standards. Michael earned his professional architecture degree from New York Institute of Technology. Vehlen Bandurski:Vehlen joined GL Studio in 2008 to help lead the design of several national retail design commissions. He currently works as Lead Designer on most GL projects and directs our Concept and Design Development teams.<br/><br/>Before coming to GL Studio, Vehlen was Senior Designer and Project Manager at Gabellini Sheppard Associates, where he led the architectural design and created merchandising guidelines for a 150,000 SF luxury retail environment called West Village. Located in London, West Village is noted for its distinctive glass interior and its unique retail concept. Vehlen also led the design of the decorative glass concept and merchandising guidelines for the High Street promenade at Echelon, scheduled to open in Las Vegas in 2010.<br/><br/>Initially trained as a fine artist, Vehlen was mentored in the studio of renowned architect Antoine Predock. He earned his Masters in Architecture from the University of New Mexico.
